Summer training has gone well!
I’m very pleased with my progress and felt that my form was really coming along nicely this summer.
Being a bit older now, I sometimes feel the effects, and while things were going great this summer, I did run into a few challenges, but I have an awesome team, including some fantastic physiotherapists, to help me through it. In Sweden, I work with Vladimir Egorov—he’s incredibly skilled and really helped keep my body in one piece ahead of my training camp in Ushuaia. I’m so grateful for the work he put in.
The summer was productive, and physically, I feel like I’m in great shape. I spent some time on the bike, did a bit of running, and most of all, spent a lot of hours in the gym! It was a great environment for motivation and training. I also managed to squeeze in a vacation on a boat, which was perfect for recharging mentally!
Now that the tour is underway, I have another exceptionally talented physiotherapist, Fabio Della Torre, traveling with me all year, which is an incredible asset! We spent a month in Ushuaia; it was an outstanding camp, and I had some really good skiing sessions!
My training has focused on technique, free-skiing, and building a strong foundation in giant slalom, along with some slalom and even a bit of speed training! We’ve had some really fun days, and I’m truly happy with and grateful for the team I have around me!
I have a new ski technician, Matteo Fattor, which is really exciting. He’s excellent at preparing skis, and I really enjoy working with him! I’m looking forward to building this next phase of my career alongside him. So far, his work has been spot on—it’s been great!
Looking forward to start off the season in Sölden!
