Summer training 2024

Publicerad:

We got hold of Sara on FaceTime from a warm and sunny Austria in her apartment in the sun and we had a chat about her summer training and the upcoming season.

Hey Sara! How was your summer?

It’s been great! I´ve been doing a lot of strength training and working out with heavy weight training. I´ve also had time to enjoy sunny days in the Stockholm archipelago. I´m very happy and proud how well the physics tests went.

Have you been on skis yet this autumn?

Absolutely! First we went to Ushuaia in the sothern part of Argentina just like last year. Unfortunatly I got some stomach illness but I got some really good skiing the last few days. After Argentina we went to Stelvio in Italy and then to Sölden, Austria. In Sölden we got some amazing powder too and some scratchy, rocky days in the slopes.
Now I´m back home for a few days before we get back to Sölden for the season premiere which I´m really looking forward to.

What does this season look like? Any news?

I´m lucky to continue with the same staff, team and equipment sponsors. Our Swedish national team have a new apparel sponsor this year, Phoenix and Kexchocklad is back. Really crunchy! I´ve got really good communication with my serviceman and we continue on the same great path from last season.

What´s your goal this winter?

Race-wise: This year is a world championship season so the goal is to be at my absolute best in the beginning of february in Saalbach, Austria. The plan is to focus on gigant slalom and slalom.

Tech-wise: I´ve been focusing on strength this summer and this season I´m going to focus on phavig more ressure on the outher ski and becomming even more active in the beginning of every turn.

So Sara thanks for the nice chat and the best of luck in Sölden next weekend.
